Update: 11:02 AM... the lockdown has been lifted....
FOREST, Va. (WSET) - Forest area schools are on a perimeter lockdown, according to Bedford County Public Schools.
Officials say there is an investigation in the Forest Zone.
The doors to Forest Elementary, Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, Otter River Elementary, Forest Middle, and Jefferson Forest High Schools are locked and being guarded.
