Sam Hunt’s hit song “Body Like A Back Road” was inescapable this year, and thanks to the tune Sam’s been named “Billboard’s” Top Country Artist of 2017.
What’s more, the song, which Sam co-wrote with Zach Crowell, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, tops all of “Billboard’s” year-end country songs charts, including the Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, Country Streaming Songs and Country Digital Song Sales charts.
It’s easy to see why “Body Like A Back Road” dominated. The tune spent 34 weeks on top the “Billboard” Hot Country Songs chart, breaking the record for most weeks on top of that chart, which was set in 2012-13 by Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise.” It also broke “Cruise’s” 33-week record for the most weeks on top the Country Streaming Songs chart.
