LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - Area high school football teams hit the field Thursday for the "official" opening day of practice.
One of the area teams hard at work, the Heritage Pioneers. Coach Brad Bradley's team coming off a great season from a year ago, advancing all the way to the state championship game.
Brad Bradley, HERITAGE PIONEERS HEAD COACH, said "Being in the state championship game, you know, understanding kind of what it's about, getting a taste of it, having that fuel to kind of motivate you doing the off-season, I think that's something that our kids enjoy. But at the end of the day, nothing's guaranteed to you."
