Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren are known for their work with nonprofit organizations around the globe, and now Thomas has yet another charitable initiative under his belt.
He's teamed up with Crown Royal on the Purple Bag Project, which aims to deliver a million care packages to active military members overseas and those impacted by natural disasters over the next two years.
He spent Tuesday packing bags with food, personal items and a handwritten note. While there, he chatted with People, saying, "It was really cool to get involved in such a cool campaign that supports our servicemen and women and on this go-around people that have been affected by natural disasters like hurricanes. To be a voice in that and use my platform to spread the word about what the Purple Bag Project is about, I jumped on it immediately and I’m super glad to be involved in it."
The Purple Bag Project officially gets under way on November 13th in Nashville.
