MARIJUANA MIGHT BE JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS PRESCRIPTION PAINKILLERS
According to a new survey of medical marijuana users in Colorado, weed might be just as effective as common painkillers.
65 percent of marijuana users said they light up for pain management -- and 80 percent of these smokers say it’s extremely helpful in pain management.
While there’s still a lot to learn about the effects of marijuana, some health officials are encouraged by the results of the study because it might lead to fewer people getting hooked on opioids and other hard drugs when battling pain.
