Cargo Ship Captain Charged In Massive Drug Bust: The captain of a cargo ship is in over his head in Australia after the Australian Federal Police say he loaded over 700 pounds of cocaine onto his ship in a bulk shipping container and then dumped it into the ocean wrapped in plastic, where it was retrieved by two men in a small boat. How do they know the captain was in on it? His phone had text messages relating to the drug smuggling attempt on it. The cocaine is worth around $128 million. The unnamed captain has been charged with importing a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug and faces a maximum sentence of life in prison if found guilty.
