ENGINEERS DEVELOP THE WORLD'S SMALLEST WALKING ROBOT
A team of engineers at Northwestern University in Illinois believe they have created the world's smallest remote-controlled walking robot.
These crab-like robots measure only one-half millimeter wide -- which means they're smaller than the thickness of a penny. They can walk, twist, turn and jump. And if everything continues to work and improve in the future, these miniature robots could eventually be used for performing special surgery or making repairs on small-scale machines.
- What in the world could be scarier than giant robots attacking us? How about tiny robots that we can barely see?
