Not a Wiener, a Loser (A Florida Man Story) + Joey Chestnut Does It Again!

Not a Wiener, a Loser

The Fourth of July hot dog statistics are in. There were 150 million hot dogs eaten over the July 4th weekend, and at least one that was used to assault a police officer.

Florida man Jason Stoll was selling hot dogs on a street in downtown in St. Petersburg when he was approached by police officers who warned him that he was in violation of city rules and should pack up his stuff and leave. But Stoll ignored the warning and continued to sell hot dogs. The officers returned and ordered him to stop selling the hot dogs, but Stoll got angry and threw a wiener at one of the officers, striking him in the chest. The officer was uninjured, but he placed Stoll under arrest and charged him with felony battery and resisting arrest. (The Smoking Gun

Scott's Thoughts and dad jokes:

  • I can't believe he actually mustard the courage to throw a hot dog at a cop.
  • This hot dog attacker is just the wurst.
  • Officers were frank with him and gave him a warning.

SPEAKING OF HOT DOGS...

JOEY CHESTNUT: Wins Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest for 15th Time

Joey Chestnut did it again.

The 38-year-old won his 15th competition at the Fourth of July Nathan's Famous Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, New York.

This time Chestnut ate 63 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. That was way down from the record-breaking 76 franks he devoured last year.

The low total probably had to do with a protester who ran on stage about halfway through the competition and pushed Chestnut. The eating champ grabbed the man around the neck and pulled him to the ground before authorities removed the protesters.

Still, Chestnut won by a wide margin. The runner-up, Geoffrey Esper, was able to down only 47.5 hot dogs.

In the women's division, Miki Sudo was the winner with 40 hot dogs.
