In the world of fashion, trends come and go and one fashion expert is calling out three style trends that are over in 2023. Meytal Algranti, known as TikTok’s “Fashion Mom,” recently shared a video with her more than 1-million followers outlining the looks she doesn’t think will carry over into this year.
“Today we’re talking about trends that are over and you’re going to be mad,” Algranti begins the clip, before adding, “Always you should do and wear whatever you want.” The Canadian influencer then lists the trends that are out this year.
- “Let’s zero in on number one: the aggressive mom jeans, especially with the elastic waistband,” she says. Algranti notes that this style gives her “felon on the run” vibes, so they’re a hard pass for her.
- Her second fashion don’t is “the aggressive square nail,” which she says is “well-documented to carry E. coli, highly flammable and also extremely f-ing ugly.”
- The third trend she says is over is the open-toe boot. The fashionista teases that these can be repurposed as gardening shoes since they have a “breathable toe area” and the heel can “really get in that soil.”
Algranti also urges people to take her advice with a grain of salt. “The truth of the matter is, I don’t make the rules. I mean, I do, but …, “ she jokes.

Scott's Thoughts:
- Would anyone really be sorry to say goodbye to those extremely long, square-tip nails? I thought they looked dumb to begin with!
- I really don't know anything about fashion. I live my life in Walmart fashions.
- My kids know more about fashion than I will ever know.
