A woman has really put herself in the doghouse this time. Lia Parker, who’s 21 years old, has gained notoriety on TikTok for showing off the large dog crate she likes to chill in, calling it her “safe space.” A video of the crate shows it decked out with fuzzy blankets, stuffed animals, stickers, and soft lighting. Parker even admits the crate is more comfortable than her queen-sized bed.
Why does she prefer these accommodations over something more normal? Parker confirms it isn't some sort of fetish. Instead, she confesses in a video, which has hit nearly 800k views, that “It helps me regulate emotionally and symptomatically.” Parker adds, “For me, it feels like a hug and like a hideaway, somewhere separate from whatever is triggering me or making me upset.” Perhaps some of us need to make a run to the pet store now too!
