Tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour have been hard to get from the day they went on sale, but one dad thought he got lucky when he was able to buy tickets back in November. Anthony Silva purchased the concert tickets to a show at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts through online ticket reseller StubHub. He spent around $18-hundred for the tickets and gave them to his daughter as a Christmas gift.
But days before the show, the dad was still empty-handed. StubHub has a policy where tickets aren’t sent to the buyer until the day before the event, but Silva’s were never delivered. And when he contacted StubHub, he was told alternative tickets weren’t available to buy. Still determined not to let his daughter and her friends down, he found a different re-seller and purchased four more …for quite a bit more money.
Silva says he spent nearly $21-thousand on those four tickets! He also hired a limo for the night, so his teenage daughter and her besties could arrive in style to the show. Luckily, StubHub is supposed to refund his original price, which will help offset some of the expense.

Scott's Thoughts:
- That dad has deeper pockets than I do! My kid would have just been disappointed because I’d never spend over $20-thousand on concert tickets! I wouldn't have spent the $1800 to be honest!
- While well intentioned, this dad is setting a bad example for his daughter.
- Concert tickets for the biggest names in the industry have gotten out of hand. Crazy!
