A restaurant in Scotland isn’t exactly “buzzing” with business this week now that a giant swarm of bees has taken up residency on the patio. Manager of the the 63rd+1st, Petya Petrova, says, “they just arrived randomly and settled onto the railing in about 10 minutes.” She then made the executive decision to close things down so patrons wouldn’t get stung by the new tenants.
Meanwhile, help hasn’t exactly been on the way. Petrova claims that the city say they “don’t deal with bees” while pest control “took one look at the bees and said they couldn't help.” Her last resort is a beekeeper who Petrova says couldn’t come immediately but will hopefully come by in the next day or two. The upside? Petrova says, "I'm a lot less scared of bees now.”
