Man Arrested After Brawl At Spirit Airlines Counter (Florida Man Story)

Man Arrested After Brawl At Spirit Airlines Counter In Florida: Hours of flight cancellations and delays led to a melee at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter at Orlando International recently. Edward Hariston, 41, was arrested after allegedly putting an officer in a chokehold during a scuffle. According to a police report, an officer saw Hariston leaning over the ticket counter arguing and pushing buttons on the keyboard at the ticket counter, as the woman he was with got behind the counter, stood on the baggage scale, and started yelling. A witness says Hariston eventually put the officer that was dealing with the incident into a chokehold and took him to the ground. As the officer reportedly began to lose consciousness, more officers arrived on the scene to pull Hariston off him. Hariston was taken to the hospital and now faces four charges including attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer and battery on a law enforcement officer. His bail has been set at $50,000.

Update: Tourist Who Carved Initials Into Colosseum Begs For Forgiveness: The tourist from the UK who received international backlash after being recorded carving his girlfriend’s name into Rome’s Colosseum is reportedly begging for forgivenessIvan Dimitrov and his girlfriend Hayley Bracey were tracked down in Bulgaria this week by Italy’s military police. Major Roberto Martina says, “He told us he was very upset by what he had done, and he kept apologizing for it,” adding, “I think he was worried about the consequences of any trial and we explained that he could be jailed for between two and five years and be fined up to 15,000 Euro.” Martina says he told Dimitrov that he was now a suspect and was part of an investigation. Meanwhile, Bracey isn’t part of the complaint at this point. However, “Although technically, she could be seen as an accessory,” Martino says.
