Life is short and there are a lot of things to see and places to visit, so how do you decide where to go? A new study may be able to help, as it reveals the most popular travel bucket list destinations in the world.
- Luxury travel company Kuoni did the research, analyzing Google search data for 119 experiences across 219 countries.
- Topping the list as the most popular bucket list experience overall is visiting the Maldives, with 121 countries searching for this experience, with its incredible white sandy beaches, tropical blue waters, the most.
- The U.S. is home to six places in the top 20, making it the country with the most locations on the list.
- Mount Rushmore is the top bucket list destination for Americans, coming in first in 30 states.
- The Kentucky Derby is number two for the U.S., with nine states wanting to go to this horse race the most.
- Rounding out the top five bucket list experiences for Americans is visiting Yosemite National Park, going to the Maldives and checking out the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
