If you think the middle seat is the worst place to be for a long flight, imagine having to spend it in the restroom.
A man onboard a flight, operated by Indian discount airline SpiceJet, used the lavatory during the flight and became stuck inside. The lock on the door had malfunctioned and he couldn't get out. He was eventually able to alert the flight crew and they also weren't able to unlock the door. Flight attendants informed the man that they lacked the tools to open the door and that he would have to remain in the lavatory for the remainder of the flight -- a little more than an hour.
The crew worked to keeo the man calm and advised him to find a way to secure himself as the plane prepared for landing. As soon as the flight arrived, airport technicians boarded the plane and were able to free him. He was then provided medical support. SpiceJet said it regrets the incident and the passenger will receive a full refund. (The Independent)
