A Florida man found a lost cell phone in a Walmart restroom, so of course, he turned it over to the lost-and-found in the hopes of returning it to its owner. Just kidding ... he used the phone to dial 911 and call in a bomb threat against the store.
Police say after 28-year-old Coty Clements called in the bomb threat, a 911 dispatcher called the phone number back and Clements answered and said, "Tic Toc, Tic Toc," before hanging up. Police reviewed surveillance footage inside the store and saw Clements walking into the men's room at around the same time the 911 call was made. Cops caught up to him and he admitted that he found the phone and decided to call in the threat because he had seen "people [on Tik Tok] making fake bomb threats and decided to make one himself."
Clements told police he regretted his decision and realized he made a big mistake. He was arrested anyway and charged with making a false report about planting a bomb. He's also been ordered to stay away from all Walmart stores. (The Smoking Gun)
