The Los Angeles Clippers' brand new arena is still under construction, but the first basketball shots have already been taken -- and not by Clippers players.
Two teenage TikTokers recently broke into the Intuit Dome in Inglewood in the middle of the night and had their way with the still-unfinished arena. They walked around the empty hallways and bleachers and then shot some basketballs on an unfinished practice court. They then climbed all the way up to the roof to check out the Los Angeles skyline. They shared their antics on TikTok in a video they titled "Breaking Into Clippers Stadium," which may earn them a ton of views, but is also going to earn them some trespassing charges and possible jail time.
Inglewood Mayor James E. Butts says the two teens and their parents have been identified. He says, "It will be very clear to these young men — and to people who are TikTok followers — that you have a moment of TikTok greatness followed by a little bit of misery. And so we don’t play around with these things." The duo has previously broken into other sports venues around Los Angeles. The $2 billion Intuit Dome is scheduled to be completed in August and ready for next basketball season. (NY Post)
