Stupid Criminal News: Man Pleads Guilty To Solid Gold Toilet Theft

There’s been a conviction in the case of the stolen $6 million solid gold toilet. Before an Oxford Crown Court, 39-year-old James Sheen pleaded guilty to burglary and other charges surrounding the gilded commode heist. The fully-functioning gold toilet was installed in Blenheim Palace in 2019 as part of an art installation by Maurizio Cattelan. Just days after the exhibition opened
the toilet was stolen, with “significant damage and flooding” done in the process. Sheen’s court appearance came via video link because he was already behind bars, serving a 17-year sentence for other thefts he’d been convicted of. Three other men have also been charged but have pleaded not guilty and will stand trial next February.

Wanted Man Asks Cops To Stop Referring To His Receding Hairline

In the UK, a fugitive from justice is telling police that mocking his receding hairline is out-of-bounds. Police in Avon and Somerset have been scouring the area looking for 29-year-old Daniel Kellaway who’s wanted for alleged “driving offenses, criminal damage, and threatening behavior.” On their “wanted” posters and online postings, police describe Kellaway as 28-years-old and having “receding brown hair.” Seeing that he was “wanted” on social media, Kellaway posted a request for an age correction “after his birthday had passed” and that there was “no need to mention the hairline.” Kellaway also reported that he’s “heading to Turkey to get it sorted out, and then we’ll catch up”
whatever that means. Perhaps he found a deal on hair restoration in Istanbul?

Woman Avoids Increased Workload By Poisoning Pregnant Coworker

In China, one unnamed woman was apparently concerned about her expanded workload due to the pregnancy of one of her coworkers. Now, that woman is being accused of “trying to terminate” the pregnancy of that coworker “by poisoning her water to prevent her from taking maternity leave.” Reportedly, the pregnant woman noticed something tasted strange in the water she’d been drinking, so she switched to bottled water. From there, the investigation began. The knocked-up woman set up a video recorder at her desk and caught her coworker pouring a “powder-like substance into her water bottle.” Police are now involved, and a criminal investigation is underway. The mother-and-child-to-be are said to be fine and healthy.

Inmates Claim It's Their "Religious Right" To Watch Eclipse: Six inmates at Woodbourne Correctional Facility in New York are suing the prison for denying them the “right” to watch the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8th. The inmates' attorney, who’s a senior associate at Alston & Bird, argues the eclipse constitutes a religious event and that the planned lockdown violates their constitutional rights to practice their religions. The inmates, representing various faiths including Baptist, Muslim, Seventh-Day Adventist, Santeria, and an atheist, claim that seeing the eclipse is crucial for their religious observances since religious texts mention eclipse-like phenomena, such as the Bible and Islamic scriptures. Meanwhile, their attorney is pursuing a class-action lawsuit that extends to prisoners across the entire state.

Guy Popped For Shooting Celebratory Shots In Air After Divorcing Wife: Careful how you celebrate
A man in Nashville, Tennessee is facing over a dozen charges after officers responded to the shots fired shortly before 6 am on April 1st. When they arrived, they found Craig Jose Miller, 26, and another guy sitting on the corner denying they’d heard the shots. However, a witness told cops he’d seen Miller “waving a firearm around and shooting off two rounds in different directions.” After kicking the arresting officer in the stomach, Miller later admitted he’d fired eight celebratory rounds after “regaining his freedom” from his wife. Police also found a THC pen in Miller’s pocket and reported he had extremely slurred speech. After receiving reports that the suspect had “bomb-making” materials and stolen property, he now faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a first responder, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, motor vehicle burglary, and theft of a firearm.
