Thereâs been a conviction in the case of the stolen $6 million solid gold toilet. Before an Oxford Crown Court, 39-year-old James Sheen pleaded guilty to burglary and other charges surrounding the gilded commode heist. Just days after the exhibition openedâŠthe toilet was stolen, with âsignificant damage and floodingâ done in the process. Sheenâs court appearance came via video link because he was already behind bars, serving a 17-year sentence for other thefts heâd been convicted of. Three other men have also been charged but have pleaded not guilty and will stand trial next February.

Inmates Claim It's Their "Religious Right" To Watch Eclipse: Six inmates at Woodbourne Correctional Facility in New York are suing the prison for denying them the ârightâ to watch the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8th. The inmates' attorney, whoâs a senior associate at Alston & Bird, argues the eclipse constitutes a religious event and that the planned lockdown violates their constitutional rights to practice their religions. The inmates, representing various faiths including Baptist, Muslim, Seventh-Day Adventist, Santeria, and an atheist, claim that seeing the eclipse is crucial for their religious observances since religious texts mention eclipse-like phenomena, such as the Bible and Islamic scriptures. Meanwhile, their attorney is pursuing a class-action lawsuit that extends to prisoners across the entire state.
