An Iowa man who was pulled over for suspected drunk driving shocked police by being able to squeeze his entire eight-foot tall body into a Ford Focus.
Police say they spotted 33-year-old Joel Solorzano Villeda driving erratically and pulled him over. During the stop, they noticed that he showed signs of intoxication and had and open beer can in the car. He was also in possession of methamphetamine. A subsequent breathalyzer test showed he was over the legal limit. When asked for his driver's license, he handed police a Minnesota ID which officers immediately suspected was fake because it had his listed height as 8-feet.
Unless Villeda experienced significant body shrinkage since he was issued the ID, he was lying about being the world's tallest man because he was actually 5-feet-8-inches tall. Solorzano-Villeda was arrested and charged with narcotics possession, driving while intoxicated, and providing a false ID. (The Smoking Gun)
