Police in Volusia County, Florida were called to a beach to investigate a reported stabbing at one in the morning this past Sunday. Reportedly, the victim was riding a tricycle on the beach at night and was using a flashlight as a headline on the bike. Deputies say a man the tricycle approached apparently didn’t take kindly to a flashlight pointed in his direction. From there, an argument ensued, and the victim was knocked off his trike. Unfortunately, the basket of his tricycle also had a machete in it, which was discovered by the suspect…who allegedly swung the weapon and hit the victim in the right thigh. The victim was able to get the upper hand though and took the machete away from his attacker…cutting his hand in the process, and then rode away on his tricycle to get medical attention and help. Police now believe they’ve got a “person of interest” in custody.
