Last week, Jalopnik asked their readers to share the worst states to drive in. Without hesitation, they delivered…
- Florida – “A lot of people commenting haven’t driven in Florida…and it shows”
- Georgia (Atlanta specifically) – “The speed limits are set at 55, but if you’re not going 80 they’re going to run you over…then there are the tourists and truckers driving through”
- Indiana – “Anyone who grows up in Indiana believes they could be called up by Penske at any time and take the wheel of an Indy car”
- Maryland – “No one uses turn signals. Ever.” It’s also a hodgepodge of aggressive drivers from the north intermingling with more passive Southerners heading north…and they don’t seem to mix well on the roads
- Massachusetts – “It’s like everyone on the road is impatient and on uppers…and the on/off ramps are very short”
- Michigan – “The roads are in disrepair, there’s tons of construction, and drivers around Detroit and Flint are aggressively mediocre”
- Mississippi – They don’t have a ton of money, and what the money they do have isn’t spent on repairing the roads
- New Hampshire – “Beautiful scenery…terrible roads”
- New Jersey – “The closer you get to NYC the worse it gets…many roads are old and decrepit…and traffic jams and congestion are ubiquitous”
- Oklahoma – “Every MFing Dodge Ram with a trailer is camping in the left lane and refuses to move over”
- Pennsylvania – “Road signs are placed as late as possible to minimize your chances of navigating traffic and making your turns/exits in time”
Now…what say you?

Scott's Thoughts:
- OK Honorable Mention for I-81 as the worst Interstate in America? One of the worst? Especially in the Salem/Roanoke area?
- How did West Virginia Not make this list? Coal trucks have created more pot holes than the moon has craters.
- Warning on the article. It has some bad language. Otherwise some interesting reading.
