For a lot of people, Spring comes with spring cleaning. Though you might think you’ve gotten your place spotless, there are probably things you didn’t touch…because just about everyone forgets that they need to be cleaned, too. Kyshawn Lane’s “Weekly Home Check,” on Instagram, points out a few things that shouldn’t be neglected if you want them to last.
- Air conditioner filters should be changed out…especially if you have allergy issues
- Refrigerator coils are located on the back of your appliance, and you’d be well-served to vacuum them out every six months or so. Not only are dirty coils a fire hazard, but they might also be the cause of that annoying buzz you’ve been hearing
- Dirty range hood filters can cause fires, and they should be cleaned every one to three months…or replaced if they’re the charcoal kind
- Most people don’t even know their dishwasher has a filter, and the food that might be stuck in it could be the reason your dishes aren’t getting as clean as they should be
- Flush your drains with vinegar and baking soda to work out some of those clogs
