A Kentucky man is behind bars after he released a raccoon into a busy bar -- all because he was prohibited from entering.
Cops in Murray, Kentucky say 40-year-old Jonathan Mason was banned from entering the Big Apple Grill and Bar. It's unclear why he's not allowed inside. Upset about the ban, Mason allegedly released the wild animal inside the bar, causing chaos and even leading to one patron being bitten by the raccoon.
Police say Mason fled the scene but was later pulled over. He refused to roll down his windows or get out of the car, so officers had to physically remove him. He’s now facing a long list of charges, including second-degree assault, criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, and driving without insurance. It's unclear what happened to the raccoon.
Mason is no stranger to local police. In December, he was arrested after he drunkenly rode a mule into a liquor store. He was arrested a few days later when he tried to retrieve the mule, which had been seized by police. (The Murray Sentinel)
