Another day, another bridezilla story

This time a bride disinvited her pregnant best friend –who was also supposed to be her maid of honor – from her wedding. The reason? The bride was afraid her friend’s visible pregnancy – she would be seven months pregnant at the time of the wedding – would steal attention and “take the spotlight” away from her on the big day

The best friend and soon-to-be mom took to Reddit’s Bridezillas forum to vent her frustration.

She writes: “This morning she came over and I asked a question about the wedding and she paused for a minute … then she said, ‘Yeah about that. I’ve decided I don’t think it’s best for you to be there.’ I was shocked because this was out of nowhere and asked why. She told me that although she’s happy for me being pregnant, she thinks that having a pregnant woman right at the alter will take a lot of the spotlight off of her and even just being at the event might cause people to direct their focus on me and not the married couple. I’m floored.”

No surprise – comments overwhelmingly supported the pregnant woman, calling the bride selfish and encouraging her to focus on her pregnancy and reconsider the friendship.

As one wrote: “If this is true, I wouldn’t let this self-absorbed narcissist anywhere near myself or my family! Thought I’d heard everything … obviously I was wrong!”

And another crazy wedding story … Someone who attended a wedding posted on Reddit’s Wedding Drama sub about the bizarre behavior of the groom’s mother. The post was in response to another Redditor who was upset about her mother-in-law wearing white to the wedding. This user titled the post, “Which is Worse?” She then explains how she went to a wedding ceremony where the groom’s mother, who obviously was not happy about the impending marriage, wore "mourning black, including an enormous black hat with a veil, and sobbed loudly during the vows."
