If you were charged a fee to go to a wedding, would you go? In Idaho, Marley Jaxx and Steve Larson charged guests $57 for a “day ticket” to their wedding. Those who wanted a more spectacular experience could’ve opted for the $997 “VIP ticket,” which granted two people access to “a full weekend event, including premium seating, a brunch, and entry into the rehearsal dinner.” In total, around 100 basic tickets were sold, and 30 chose the VIP option. For those concerned, those “nearest and dearest” to the couple received actual invitations and weren’t charged to be there. There’s a positive in all of this, though. Not only was the wedding completely paid for, but $132,550 was raised for their charity venture in Kenya.
