A new study conducted by the University of Florida and University College London has found that bookworms are in short supply in the United States. Over 236K Americans participated in the Time Use Study, where it was learned that there’s been a 40% drop in Americans who are reading books for pleasure. The drop falls across all age groups and demographics. On the plus side, the study found that those who do read are spending more time reading than ever, and the amount of time spent reading books to children hasn’t changed.
