A Missouri man is facing felony charges after he was accused of stealing $213K from his elderly roommate over the course of an entire year. The 78-year-old victim had “limited hearing and sight,” and was supposed to be taken care of by Jeffrey Lewis, who was the son of the person who owned the home they lived in. The man was living in the house following a hospital stay, and Lewis had been charged with helping him to manage is bills. Lewis had allegedly received a check for $78K to “complete home renovations on a separate property,” but no work was completed. In addition, Lewis is accused of using the elderly man’s credit card to the tune of $135K, with none of that money going to the bills and expenses towards his needs. Instead, it’s reported that the funds went to the needs of dancers at the Pony Strip Club, the Louis Vuitton store, Helzberg Diamonds, and “personal travel expenses.”
