A Florida woman arrested for driving the wrong way on the interstate told cops her husband was the one who was driving. There's only one problem... she was the only one in the car.
Tampa police received a call about a wrong way driver on I-4 and spotted a silver Toyota Camry speeding westbound in the eastbound lanes at around 60 mph. The driver, 24-year-old Kristian Beall, refused to pull over, prompting a high-risk pursuit. In the process, she struck a police cruiser before finally being brought to a stop with a PIT maneuver.
An officer asked Beall, "Do you realize you’re going the wrong way on the interstate?” She appeared confused and replied, "On this interstate? No… this car? Are you serious?" She then claimed her husband was driving, even though there was no one else in the car. She eventually admitted to drinking at two bars and failed a field sobriety test. Her breath alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. Beall is charged with DUI and fleeing police at a high speed. (WFLA-TV)
