It seems that Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs not only help people lose weight, they also make it so people don't get as drunk. Researchers at Virginia Tech tracked how GLP-1 users processed alcohol immediately after downing several drinks. They found that people taking GLP-1s saw their blood alcohol levels rise much more slowly than a normal person. They also reported feeling less intoxicated overall.

I ain't afraid of no ghosts (because I have whiskey) ... The folks at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, are pairing their whiskey with ghosts. The company is holding "Night at the Distillery" tours on the weekends of October 23rd and October 30th. Guests will get to do a nighttime, self-guided walk through the distillery’s grounds, exploring "the legends, folklore, and untold stories woven into its two-century history." The tour includes people telling ghost stories, live entertainment, three cocktail tastings, and a to-be-revealed new whiskey. Buffalo Trace is also holding a contest where the winner will be given a private ghost hunt “led by professional paranormal investigators and a distillery tour guide."
