After acquiring the brand last year, Atari is bringing back its old rival Intellivision in the coolest way possible. The new Intellivision Sprint console keeps the retro woodgrain-and-gold look of the original 1980s classic but adds modern features like HDMI, USB-C, wireless rechargeable controllers, and a built-in library of 45 games. Fans can play classics like Baseball, Space Battle, Astrosmash, and Shark! Shark! without having to fiddle with cartridges, and the controllers even have the iconic slide-in game cards, but updated with fresh artwork. Preorders are live for $149.99 at Atari.com, with consoles shipping December 5th, just in time for a Christmas morning straight out of the early ’80s.
