In case you haven’t heard, AI isn’t always reliable. Monday night, at Baltimore’s Kenwood High School, Taki Allen was sitting with friends after football practice, enjoying a bag of chips, when police officers showed up with guns. Quickly, Allen realized they were walking his way. It turns out that the school’s AI detector had confused the bag of Doritos that Allen had on him…with a gun. Allen was holding the snack bag with two hands and had one finger pointing out at the time the image was taken…hence the confusion. It should be noted, however, that the bag of Doritos Allen was packing was loaded…with deliciousness.
