The Best (& Worst) Halloween Candy To Give Out

Have you stocked up on candy for all the KPop Demon Hunters and Labubus who will be showing up at your door on Halloween? Time is running out, those trick-or-treaters will be there on Friday night and they’re going to want the good stuff, so you’d better know what that is.

DoorDash is here to help with a list of the most popular Halloween candy. These sweets will put you in the running for best house in the neighborhood and you might even win if you splurge on full-size candy bars.

  1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  2. M&M’s
  3. Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar
  4. Snickers
  5. Skittles
  6. Nerds
  7. Sour Patch Kids
  8. Twix
  9. Kit Kat
  10. Airheads

But there are always some houses that kids complain about because they give out stuff nobody likes. To make sure you’re not one of them, avoid these treats kids consider the worst.

  • Apples - They don’t want fruit on Halloween, especially the kind that could hide razor blades inside, even if it is mostly just an urban myth.
  • Granny candy - This includes old fashioned sweets like circus peanuts, strawberry bonbons and Necco wafers.
  • Hard to chew candy - Whether they have a loose tooth or braces, some candy is tough to chew for kids, like Laffy Taffy, Tootsie Rolls and candy corn.
  • Raisins - Even if they’re yogurt-covered, trick-or-treaters don’t consider these a treat at all.⠀

Scott's Thoughts

  • Already eat through your trick-or-treater candy? No one needs to know, just go buy more!
  • Halloween night is NOT the time to teach kids about good nutrition! Don't be that person! I might soap your windows myself!
  • When I was a kid, if you gave me an apple, I threw it at your mailbox. I was a bad boy. Won't even get into the flaming bag of poop stories.
