A Florida woman named Lori Green found herself in a very bizarre situation where she had to convince the state that she is not the owner of a garage repair company.
Not many people can say they've been in that position, but Lori kept receiving mail for a company called Level Garage Door, LLC that listed her home address. She also noticed a lot of cars were driving up to her house and then driving away. So, she looked up the company online and found a website listing her home as the business's address, and even provided driving directions to get there.
Lori also called the business but was hung up on as soon as she asked why her address was being used for the business. So, she reported the fraud to the Florida Department of State and had to prove she owned her home. Records show the state recently dissolved the company because it does not have a license to install garage doors. But the website with Lori’s address is still live, so she may continue to receive mail. (WFLA-TV)
