Just when you thought the world had enough new terms to describe aspects of the modern dating world…here comes another one. It’s called “pocketing.” This is where someone you’re in a relationship with gives you “just enough to keep you hanging on.” It seems like there’s already been a term established for this, and it’s called “breadcrumbing.” There is a difference, though. With “pocketing,” there’s the added bonus of being kept a secret from the outside world, with no acknowledgement of the relationship on social media or with friends and family.
