There were some tense moments on the air between an anchor and weather man during the evening news on KFDX, in Wichita Falls, Texas. It all started with anchor Carney Porter saying there was no rain in the forecast. Weather guy Michael Bohling took exception to that, pointing out that he’d just reported that precipitation was on the way. With that, the tension was on, with the following exchange:
- Porter: “Stop trying to correct people and do your job”
- Bohling: “I just don’t know why you don’t listen to me”
- Porter: “Because you’re boring”
The discomfort just escalated from there, and the video went viral. Enough traction came from it that Bohling felt the need to go on social media to say that he and Porter are “nearly siblings” and “literally talk trash to each other all day.” He went on to say, “it’s all love,” but sometimes that trash talk “comes out on the air.”
