Spring is getting a sweet start as Dairy Queen’s Free Cone Day returns on Thursday, March 19th, offering a free small vanilla cone at participating locations across the country with no purchase required. The giveaway runs all day while supplies last, but there are a few catches:
- While all non-mall locations don’t require a purchase to grab your free cone, at DQ spots in malls you’ll need to buy something to redeem the single-use deal.
- Also, the deal excludes delivery and mobile orders, but if you’re picking up in person at a standalone DQ, you’re in for a 100% FREE ice cream cone with no strings attached!
Since starting the tradition back in 2015, the brand has handed out 38-million cones, but if one cone isn’t enough for you, rewards members can enter a sweepstakes through the Dairy Queen app from March 5th through the 19th for a chance to win free cones for a year! To celebrate the season, the chain is also rolling out new treats including the Savannah Bananas Split Shake in partnership with the Savannah Bananas baseball team, plus a Mint Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone and Mint Oreo Blizzard that debuted a few weeks ago.
