With gas prices on the rise, spring break in full force, and summer on the horizon, many Americans are rethinking how they vacation. This has seen a rise in what’s being called the “Whycation.” This is where someone takes into account the “why” when it comes to the intentions behind traveling. It’s no longer about taking a trip just to go somewhere. Now, people seem to be looking for a reason to take the trip in the first place, whether it’s a family event, being inspired to take up a hobby that’s integral to the trip, or making wellness and mental health the priority. If there’s no “why,” then there’s no point in spending the money.
